RFID Chips

I have read that only green chips and up have the RFID device. So, by playing red, your bet amounts are not picked up by the computer. Can anyone confirm this?

I've heard this for the strip casinos. Since they won't rate you if your min bet is under $25, it makes sense, since the chips are not cheap... Downtown (if they ever go to this) will likely be different since they will rate you on nickels, as will lots of non-strip casinos...
