Has anyone experienced what they thought was a crooked dealer? Such as an abnormal losing streak or always losing on big bets?

After reading a section in "The Worlds Greatest Blackjack Book" about cheating dealers I couldn't help but wonder if this true or just an excuse for bad luck. If there are any former dealers in the forum, I'd be especially interested to hear from them.

I feel like there are cheating dealers. Its probably more of my own superstitions, but there are particular dealers that I encounter where I cannot seem to win a hand no matter how many times I play them. I avoid them. If they are cheating, then I win. If they aren't, no loss on my part.

I have played at many casinos including Las Vegas, Louisiana, and cruise ships for a few years. Never have I suspected a cheating dealer until two months ago. It was a pitch game at a casino I play often. He came to the table and I lost hand after hand. He just seemed too slick for me. He also held the cards differently than the other dealers. I lost every time he came to the table! When I had enough, I got up and left.

About a month ago I went to an Atlantic City casino that I normally do not play at. I was there visiting some friends so decided to stay and play with them for a while. I had been playing for almost 3 hours and was winning several hundred bucks.

Then at one of the end of the shoes, pit boss comes over talks to the dealer, dealer moved out of the way and then another individual came in just to shuffle the cards. After shuffling he left and the same dealer we had resumed to deal the cards. Weird! Everyone at the table, including me started to lose our shirts, so one by one we left the table till the dealer was by himself.

Still don't know what happened but it seemed odd that they would call in a "shuffler" to a winning table just to shuffle, and then everyone began losing.

Suffice it to say that this casino has been added to my casinos not to visit again. I'm going to take the free comp rooms I have with them, but I will be going to one of regulars.
