as casino has so many way to make themselve advantage
such as CSM , 8 decks card , less than 1/2 divided card for playing,
no surrender , double only for 10/11,
I really wonder if there is still any casino offer beatable bj for player
even there has a few , but as bad lucker can lost unlimited bets before they win ,
so who will finally be the winner of bj , i think its only theoritical beatable but not in the real , if u have luck u can win in short term , for long term all players are loser s

you might ask Semyon Dukach(spelling?) and the other members of the M.I.T. Team if the game can be beat! check out Bringing Down The House by Ben Mezrich, get the video from the history channel that tells the story of the M.I.T. blackjack team!
best of luck!

Hang in there, b14. Better days are ahead. I didn't do that great in 2004, but I still got to eat and sleep free. This year is working out on the plus side.

For each counter-measure there will always be a counter, counter-measure.....so I'm told.
Then there is the counter-counter-counter-measure and then it's off to the
place with white jackets and bars. Fun ain't it!..whoops-?

If you learn a bonafide count system, implement it with accuracy and maintain an adequate operating bankroll, you will beat blackjack over the course of 1000 playing hours unless you are very unlucky. Many well practiced and disciplined players are doing it.

I suspect the problem is the variance. Everyone wants immediate results. Sometimes you get just that with counting. Other times, you get immediate results but they are bad. I know that speaking just for myself, I certainly questioned card counting when I first started and got slammed a few times early. I was thinking "hey, are these guys just pulling my leg with this crap, and it really is impossible to beat the casinos?" Being a computer person, I wrote a program to answer that question, decided to "stay the course' and have just accepted the wild ups and downs, and chose to not let the "downs" (and there will be many of 'em) run me off.. Because the "ups" will surely come too.
Even my family will often question what I am doing when they stand behind me, watch me push out 8 units, and get slammed. Over and over. And they later ask "I thought you were not supposed to lose at this game?" That's hard to explain to a person that has not tried to count for a realistic amount of time, or to someone that saw "Rain Man". :)
