I just posted the same text on TripAdvisor:

I have a mixed opinion on the Peppermill after staying there Thursday night.

Room - Nothing special. Small but clean. Outside noises prominent. Smallest TV set I have seen in a hotel room in recent memory. I was susprised they try to sell movies on it.

Internet - They want you to pay $10.99/day for access!?! Obviously do not cater to business travelers or the wired generation.

Exercise room - Nice. More than just basic treads and bikes. Had a good number of weight machines and ab stations. Only one broken piece of equipment.

Pool - Nice. Large enough for laps. Seperate waterfall pool and hot tub.

Resturant - Only tried the coffee shop. It was 100% packed so I expected traditional slow casino service. I was susprised. Extremely fast service and the food was excellent!!!

Casino - Poor blackjack odds as they only allow double on 10 and 11. I found better odds at several other casinos including the Atlantis just down the street.

Non-smoking poker room.

Decent video poker pay outs on Jacks or Better. 9/6 on 25 cents and up. 8/5 on 10 cents.

What I saw at the other casinos in Reno I visited on my short visit:

Most games were more playable than in Vegas, but you have to shop around a little. I saw no 6/5 BJ!!!

Peppermill - $5 SD, Double 10-11 only, NDAS. Did not play with these odds.

Atlantis - $5 SD, Double any, NDAS.

Rail City - $2/$2 SD, Double any, NDAS. Casino small and dark.

Silver Club - $5 SD, Double any, NDAS.

Nugget - $5 SD, Double 10-11 only, NDAS. Also worst Video Poker odds. Did not play with these odds.
