I don't have any card counting software but I've always used 8 decks to practice with. I usually deal out 6 decks worth very quickly, then flip the remaining 2 decks over 2 cards at a time to check myself. Well recently I've been off quite a bit. I did it once and was over by 4. The next time, over by 5. So I just flipped over all the cards two at a time and was over by 4 again.
Then I moved the couch and found the five cards underneath it.
