Double Deck Penetration

I play DD in Louisiana with the following rules:

S17
DAS
DOA
RSA up to 4 times
No SUR

Penetration is rigid at 50%. Is this an acceptable game? Should I tip the dealer to try for deeper pen?

The game you described is certainly playable, but I would recommend against tipping the dealer for better penetration. In addition, I suggest you take advantage of playing multiple hands if possible (but note that this affects the variance since your hands are related). A 1u-6u betting distribution should be adequate for these rules. Good luck.
