Backed off for my first time :(

UGH!!! (Sorry but I am so frustrated about this maybe because it is my first time.)

I got backed off at one of the casinos in Las Vegas 2 days ago. I hate these places that always have the dealer announce "checks in play" or "green in play". Like WTF!? The table sign says $5 minimum bet $500 maximum bet. Soon as you go from $5 to $25 they start to be bitches about it.

I start playing and I was flat betting for about a half hour cause I wasn't getting good counts. Best I got in those shoes was probably +2 or +3 so my highest bet was $25 at the most. So I finally get a very very good shoe going and the count went from about 0 and skyrocketed to about +8 after one round. I was playing a 1-5 spread at a $5 table so my bet went from 1 unit to 8. So I bet my 8 units and catch some crappy cards and the dealer catches a 3 or a 5 or something like that, and the dealer ends up busting and I win. So now the count is still enormously high at around +13 and I still keep my max bet out. Cards are delt and I get a black jack. Ok, next round the count is still hovering around +13 so I keep the same bet out and catch a A,9 and end up winning that too. Next I see these 2 security guards in the center of the pit. So I think to myslef maybe they are about to do a fill for the table. So next thing I know the floor person asks the dealer to stop dealing cards. So some guy at the other end of the table says jokingly "Why did they stop? Are they going to kick someone out?" Before I know it the floor person bitchy lady points to me and tells the dealer "This guy is going to color up and leave now." So I ask why and all she does is shake her head no and doesn't say anything to me. So they give me my chips and I walk toward the cage. Security discreetly follows near me as if I am freakin stupid and don't see them. So I cash out. Before I leave I go back to the pit area and want a legit answer before I leave. That's only fair to give me a good reason. A head shake no is not acceptable. So I ask the bitchy grumpy floor lady and she keeps giving me the hand and head shakes, so I ask to see the next person in charge. So I speak to the next ass in charge and he says "We don't like your play." So I said "Well there's a few things I don't like about you by just looking at you but I don't make a big stink about it and embarass you infont of everyone." So all he says is "We don't like your play and how you bet from $5 to $25 to $40." I said "Is that aginast the game rules? Do you have the rules listed on paper that says I am not allowed to do that?" He says "No we don't have any of that. Sorry sir we have the right to refuse anyones play here because this is private property. You are welcome to play craps, roulette, or three card poker, but not black jack." So I said "I don't know how to play those games, but I bet you guys would love that." So he doesnt say aything and just walks away from me. All that time the 2 security guards were standing behind me across the way. So I turn around and notice them starring at me like I am some serial killer. So I got pissed off at that and yelled at them "What the F*** are you looking at!" then I left.

sorry to hear of your troubles jayne know how you feel. got backed off a 1d game a few months ago going 1-6spread. It is amazing that a vegas casino would back you off going 1-8 spread on a SHOE GAME for christ sake.e-mail me and let me know what casino it was. Next time i am in vegas will try to stop by and rattle their cage alittle bit.

Well it was a 2D game... their 2D games were delt out of a shoe.

Well thank you, I will send you a private message and tell you which casino and give you the details about the type of game. Please go there and kick their ass hahahaha. They are pretty paranoid about everything so if you got some good act then you might be able to get away with a fast one. Who knows.

It was your first time, relax and then think about what you learned.

You knew why they were backing you off and asking them to confirm it is a waste of both yours and their time. You were playing in a low level sweat shop (green action) and they sweat every dime. Some of these places back off lucky people for winning and counting has nothing to do with it. Making a scene by asking them questions or the final comment you threw at them can change your backoff to an official 86, and will help them remember you if you return in a few months, don't do this, just cash out and leave.

You also now know that these people are not in the gaming/entertainment business, they are simply in the business of taking your money and if they feel unable to do this they will not let you play. Look at it as a game, you are caught so you lost, do not get caught and you win.

Know your casino. Most tolerate a counter at your bet level with no problem if you are not too obvious but most of those casinos have a higher minimums and probably do not offer as good of a double deck game as the one you are playing. If you are playing a sweat shop, play it quickly, leave perhaps in less than an hour (win or lose) or leave sooner if you hit a great shoe.

Think about some of the good six deck shoes available in places where a $10-$100 spread will not get you much attention at all, if you can afford them, or wonging into them.

Yeah, your right. As a first time experience I will learn something from it. I was only in there for about a half hour. I guess when the count went from 0 to +8 that my max bet stuck out like a sore thumb? Oh well.

HAHAHAHA I know your just joking but if one actually did that you won't last 30 seconds in there... actually they would probably kick you out in 2 seconds HAHAHAHA. That place is so paranoid. 2 days before this happend to me I was in there with my friend and I was watching him try to show his girlfriend how to play. As soon as he sat down they kept insisting that he had played at their casino before and he told them no. Then they asked him 4 more times "Are you sure you were never here before?" Seriously though he never played in there before and they are telling him yes he has. What the hell is up with that??? That place is wacked out of their mind.

I have never been backed off (I'm not exactly a threat!) However I'm just curious, how long do you stay away from the tables where you have been backed off before paying another visit?
