A little OT but, BJ table padding question
  • I have built a blackjack table at home. I have a real casino layout from the Trump Plaza in AC that i was able to get my hands on. My question is I am trying to find the padding that goes under the layout. I did find one place online that sells table padding calling Cellufoam, but I am unable to find anything where i live. Has anyone else built one? if so what did you use for the padding. Without it the table is just too hard.
  • I don't know who yet. But someone manufactures those tables. Call the casino. Tell 'em your situation. Maybe they'll tell you the manufacturers name. :D
  • John, try a fabric shop, like Hancocks, or an upholstery shop. Ask for 1/2 inch foam. If you can't find it, you could use quilt batting. Anyway that is what, Mrs. Midnite said.

Hey, Midnite. My wife goes to Hancock Fabrics and places like that too. Maybe there's a business venture here. "Custom-crafted Blackjack Tables for the Home", with different styles like Early American, Contemporary, Star Wars (for the kids), etc. Our wives could sell them on e-Bay and they could become the Martha Stewarts of the blackjack world.
  • Im tempted to start making and selling them on ebay, ill have to post a picture of the one i made... if you look online for how much ppl are selling them for, anywhere from $500 to $1000 plus. I built mine for maybe $75. Its not full size due to space limitations but it came out great.
  • I have personally used carpet padding, 3/8" thick, this can be purchased real cheap. Super results. :D
