b14 STOP PLAYING BJ AGAINST A CSM PERIOD. nothing you read in a book on counting or playing bj will help you against these f@#king machines. Find a better game or stop playing and pratice at home until you find a better game.Casinos will continue to offer these garbage games until the playing public rebels and says"enough I will not play this game until you offer better rules"
  • The salesman comes in and sells the casino a CSM because you can not count against it and it will get the casino more hands per hour increasing profits.

The truth is: The salesman gets a commission. The casino gets a table with a machine that only the true novice players will play against (there is a grand total of 0 CSM's in high limit rooms in Vegas). Though I do not know this years figures, the result is that for the past 4 years the total number of CSM's in Vegas had declined. They are bad if you are a counter but whoever purchased or leased the things did not take into consideration the superstitions of many gamblers, and these gamblers just will not play against the thing.
They are a loser for a counter (but counters will not play) and any other player because of more hands per hour at negative expectation and they are a loser for the casino, but they are a winner for shufflemaster.

IH17 to the gods of BJ i pray that you are correct that CSM are on the decline. But i fear that there are so many millions of novice players that they will only increase especially for red chip players. As a red chip player i can only hope you are corect and we will see a decline in there usage.
  • I just got back from Vegas and all the Strip casinos were flooded with CSMs, but they were all crowded. Those people playing those games all looked liked cartoon lollipops with the word "sucker" written on the wrapper.

Funny thing was I hadn't noticed much action in any of the high roller pits on the Strip that I walked by. The only casino with the most high roller action was the newest casino where only rich people can play haha.
  • you will also notice that all the single-deck 6:5 bj games are also always crowded, which is a real problem...

I always buy in, then appear to notice the sign and ask "what in hell is this about? 6:5? That isn't bj" and I take my chips and leave. Hurts the "drop" for that table and also makes a small point, particularly if others are there and you explain why 6:5 is bad...
  • I went into the Bellagio and all they had was CSM's, only the highrollers had shoes.. I'm novice so didn't go to the highrollers.. lost money in that casino though.
  • i really hope that by the time i go to vegas, i can find a decent game. may have to play green but i can afford it

Las Vegas Hilton has 5$ Min during the day with shoes, during the night they're 10$... it's a medium sized or small casino, but it does the work.
