A Few Questions
  • I am very eager to go in those casinos once I master the KISS II count system and give them all I got. But I am nervous about the chance of getting heat (My buy in is going to be $2000). How should I dress and act? I have an idea of acting like some gambling addicted street bumb. Very little real 'knowledge' of blackjack.

The question is will this work or should I try something else?
  • Jeff, Don't worry about "heat". You can bring $2000 but buy in for much less. You'd have to play for a long time and win A LOT of money before getting any "heat". Just concentrate on playing and counting right. Don't be paranoid.

:?: First, why are you going to buy in for $2000? Why not just for $100?
If you play green chips then just buy for $100 or 4 chips while beting and playing like you have $2000 in green available.

:?: Second, Why are you nervous? Don’t be! -- Don’t give a f***k about heat. Just do your best. Don’t do bad plays because some pit boss is watching you. It will const you money in the long run.

 It will take a long time and a lot of winnings by the time you get any heat. If you play 20 hours per month and have like 12 clubs to work them into the ground then you’ve got one year by the time you will ever return to the same club again.
  • I think you mean your BANKROLL is $2000, right? Your buy-in for a session would be, say, $200 at a $10 min. table. If your buy-in is $2000 you would need a much larger bankroll to survive the swings. I usually buy $100 worth of chips at a time. As far as table manners, don't move you lips while counting, dress like a vacationer, interact with those around you, and have a good gamblin' time. Limit your sessions to 50 minuites or so. But, heck, what do I know? I don't count! (Don't forget to leave the book in your hotel room.) I don't worry about heat. I am a red-chipper and I won $1,000 one day at a $10 table. The pit boss comped me a room and dinner!
  • I agree with the lower table stakes... nibble them to death like a pihranna. Leave the rest for the sharks.
  • Yea, just like Pihrannas. Well said, Nickels_n_bullets!
  • I won't buy in for $2000 dollars but start out with $200. Well see I know a two deck game within my area... I've heard that the pit bosses sometimes watch this area alot more than the 6 deck shoes. However since I'm only at the KISS I count and almost ready to jump my count up to the KISS II I would like to try this table out.

Should I be worried about a double deck shoe more than a 6 deck shoe without worrying about 'heat'?
  • Jeff that depends upon the rules for the game... what are they for the 6-deck and the 2-deck games you write about?
