Need Help on BJ rule
  • Can anybody tell me the main differencies between Las Vegas and Atlantic City on Multi-Deck BJ rule? Thanks
  • IN GENERAL... The main difference is in LV with 6 or 8 decks the dealer hits soft 17, an Atlantic City, the dealer Stands on Soft 17.

LV has places where you can play 1, 2, or 4 decks. Atlantic City is Mostly 8 decks with a few places that offer 6 decks... you won't find a 2 deck or single deck game there.

The chances are that BOTH locations will NOT offer Late Surrender... Atlantic City by law, and LV by option.

...then why on Blackjack Strategy Chart here, it said that per Las Vegas Multiple Deck player hits on 2,2, or 3,3, when dealer's face card is either 2 or 3 and player hits on 4,4 when dealer's face card is either 5 or 6, while on Atlantic City Multiple Deck player to split in those cases? Can you explain the logic behind it? Thanks
  • It is not the location LV or AC. ... If DAS is allowed you split
those hands if not then hit.........There are lots of strategy cards and
because of that you need to understand the game rules more than loc....

That strategy chart is for NO double down after split... that can exist in LV.

In Atlantic City, Double Down after Split exists, and the chart for that rule is different.
