Betting Question
  • When you place a bet in the circular area in front of you at the casino, are we allowed to put more than 1 pile of chips all up in there? Say for instance I felt HELLA lucky right? But all I had were RED chips... (and no I'm not gonna waste my time letting the dealer "trade it in" for some higher denominational bullshit... my chips are MY chips and furtheremore see no need of that) Of course there's a limit to how high I could stack them, personally I know from experience that 35 nickels is hella high already, so again, are we allowed to put more than 1 stack of equally high chips right next to them all in the betting circle or what y0?

The dealer would probably just change them to green chips without even asking you.

Just use your foodstamps, you lowlife, no account, mofo, tiny weanie arse beatch!!
  • 1. No, you can only have one stack in your betting circle (until you double down or split).

    2. The dealer will not change them to green....He will call "checks play" and deal with it during "pay/take".

    3. If he thinks the stack (of whatever denomination) is over the table max, he will call "table max" and deal with it during "pay/take".

    4. All off the other players at the table will think you are a "total ass" and/or a rookie/newbie for pulling such a juvenile stunt and interrupting the 'flow' of the game.

    5. The dealer will not forget it.....Don't expect him/her to cut you any "slack".
  • Whoah Grif...cut the boy some slack...How could anyone think that poor Bug is juvenile....

...retarded maybe, but never juvenile!!!!

    NOW THAT'S JUVENILE!!!!!

Okay, you only partly answered my queries. What are you talking about that they'll think I'm a juvenile or whatever, just cuz I wanna bet big? That makes no sense at all. What is the proper procedure to do than since you think I am slowing down the "pace" of the game?

So what if my SINGLE entire red stack of chips is too tall and is about to lean over and topple all over the place... how can I bet more than that if I can only have one stack???

SLD (STD): Dont hate just cuz you cant be like me, thanks.
  • Doesn't it make for good cover to stack'em tall? Hey, is there a limit to how many emoticons we can show in a post? :?
  • No... my point is that at some point they will tumble down and therefore one cant bet as much as they can if we are restricted to only 1 vertical row of chips in our circular bet space.
  • Bug-
A few months back I was playing BJ at Tropicana in AC when I noticed
that the one other guy at the table was losing very consistently.
He was growing increasingly agitated, and was just plain old foul.
He finally got up and left the table, only to return about 10 minutes later.
He laid $300 on the table, and the dealer proceeded to give him all red.
He then stacked up all the red chips in one tall precariously perched pile.
It was the weirdest thing I'd ever seen, and I knew it was going to end badly.
Sure enough, the guy busted, and before the dealer could collect the chips, the guy swiped the back of his hand at them and sent them flying everywhere, then ran away!
I will never forget that. What a jerk!
    Ace.
