• msnbc.com has an article under "travel" about special air and room
deals in LV. Air and two nights room run between $77 and $180. The
only hitch that I can see is that it applies to gateway cities, whatever that
means. The cities and airlines are listed......must be a bad time of the year
    ,after XMAS and all..........................

  • The above mentioned article is now history, but I would think most airlines
will have the scoop on these deals..................................
  • It's easy to get great deals to LV if you're flexible when you come and go. The last couple of years, I've made trips out where I left on a Sunday morning and returned Tuesday or so. Neither trip cost me more than $300, hotel and airfare included, from Denver. We stayed at lower end Strip hotels both times (Luxor and Aladdin). You just gotta shop around to get the best deal.
  • Buffarino, Right...at one time it was LV and the Bahamas at no cost;
commit to so many chips and away you go. The Bahamas would fly you
there one afternoon so you could gamble all night and fly you back for
work the next day.....Sleep, who needs sleep............

  • Bahamas sounds awfully nice, but that's a long flight from Denver. LV is only 1.5 hours away.
  • We get offers from Westward Ho for 4 free nights lodging, free continential breakfasts and free lunch(hot dog or hamberger & fry's or shrimp cocktails. Usually free dinners also, and also always free drinks in the bar by signing the ticket They book, but we pay for round trip airfare from Chicago. Last time in early December 2003 air fare was $189 each for my wife and myself on ATA. Our total handle for the four days usually about $12000 to $15000 or so. They never say how much we have to bet to keep getting the offers, but we usually deposit $20000 in the cage in the form of a check drawn on our T.D. Waterhouse brokerage account and draw on it during our stay. That is for both my wife's and my betting. At the end of stay I go to the cage and get the check back and either our winnings or more often give them my personal check for our losses. We usually get that offer in the mail about 4 times a year from the Ho. Take them up on it a couple of times a year.

PS We are leaving on a cruise to the southern carribean Feb. 8. will let you know how the casino is on the Norwegian Sky when we return.
  • Charles, I would guess that you will be stopping at some of the Islands,
and may get a chance to play some BJ at those casinos. Write down all
    the skinny; rules,games ,etc

We will be stopping at St Thomas, St Kitts,Barbados, St Lucia and San Juan. San Juan is where the cruise starts and stops at. Fly round trip from Chicago. Will not be doing much if any gambling on islands. Only on each island 5 to 9 hours so will be sight seeing, not gambling. Will do some gambling on the Norwegian Sky though.

    Step #1 - Find a phone book
Step #2 - Pick up the phone
Step #3 - call a travel agent and ask if they offer package deals to Vegas. Call around a bit and you'll find out who has the best deals.

    It's really difficult.
  • Bug, If I'm not mistaken, Southwest Airlines was one of the airlines. Are
they in your location? If they are, call and tell them that you know me.
Or maybe that you don't know me would be better.

  • Bug, Many years ago the LV Casinos would run promotions that would
shuttle people in from various locations. The ones I remember were
where you would commit say$500.00 toward chips. When you arrived
you did not have to play-out all those chips. It was usually a charter
jet and/or some special deal with specific airlines. This is the same kind
of thing that appeared in my referenced article. With wide distribution of
casinos nationwide its not hard to see why these things are, once again,
popping up from time to time. Travel agents may have the scoop and so
should many of the airlines. You may consider looking at the individual
casinos sites on the net. You can get at all of these via:

worldcasinodirectory.com ( Click on the color coded map for the USA and
and go from there) Good luck to you

I'm dead serious, Bug - that's how I have found my deals to Vegas. Do a little legwork for yourself (instead of wanting everyone to do it for you) if you want to find the best deals in and out of LV.
  • But why?

    I OWN YOU!!
  • You're a funny guy.

BTW, if you owned me, I'd be telling you who has the best deals. Think about it...
