Good BJ game in Las Vegas
  • Dear Friends, we are heading to LV next weekend.
I was hoping some of you could direct me to a good and beatable BJ game.
My level is a basic hi-low counting game, interested in $5-10 bet games.
and as little heat from the pit people.
    Pls assist.

  • The single and double deck games at El Cortez are playable but you will probably encounter heat when you increase your bets in positive counts.

The 6 deck shoe at MGM where the dealer stays on soft 17 (pit past the cage) is available for $10 when they are not busy. Once busy they up the minimums, but they do grandfather. Weekdays before the evening crowds is the best time. As far as heat goes, I have never heard of a $10 player getting any heat at MGM. As a matter of fact, they will not even rate a player who has a low bet of less than $25.

  • BJ_Zoro - Buy the CBJN newsletter to find all the info on all the bj games. I personally don't like to blab casino names for fear the best games will be gone the next day.

ihate17 - Wait, weren't you the one a few weeks ago who told me there was no longer any heat at the El Co on low minimum games even if you spread 1-5??? Which is it? I specifically remember someone posted that in here.
  • iHate - Disregard the above. It was NYB who reported there was no heat at the El Co, but I am assuming his report is different than yours because he's been there recently, therefore that report is currently updated.

If the heat level at the Sweaty Spaniard has been reduced, it is something I honestly would not know first hand. At my current bet level there is no place downtown that tolerates my action.

  • According to the 2007 survelance report, low stakes players at El Cortez have an open house, with the air-conditioning on full blast.
That seems to confirm my first hand experiances ,as well.
