Need Help - Looking to make a trip.
  • I've been practicing Casino Verite and saved a $1000 to start my bankroll for some blackjack. I work for a major airline, so I can get to pretty much anywhere in the US. So far, the Peppermill in Reno is my favorite because they offer a SD 3:2 pitch game... Just curious about other casinos in the US that may be worth checking out? If not, I'll stick with the Peppermill, but I have to say there isn't much to look at there. I saw what looked like a 90 year old woman with oxygen playing penny slots
  • Single Deck 3:2 is tough to beat anywhere. Especially for five and dime.

BTW... that 90 year old lady probably remembers the original slots at a nickel a pop... this must look like a bargain ! ;o)
  • I will be staying at the Peppermill Casino in Reno in a few weeks on business. The 3:2 SD pitch game sounds good. What other casinos in Reno are worth a visit for Blackjack?

I prefer the Peppermill because it is so laid back (I had a dealer exchange baby pictures with me at the table)... Be careful though because some of the games there are DD only on 10/11.. (you will know because theses tables will be empty empty). They have several 1 deck tables....

  • If you are in Reno and make the drive to Lake Tahoe....the Lakeside Inn & Casino (small locals place) has single deck 3:2. There is also single deck at Harrah's, but it's 6:5. Good luck. I will be in Tahoe and Reno at the end of the month/beginning of April.....
