An Opportunity
  • Stopped by the Palace Casino and Hotel in Cass Lake MN on Wednesday night. Here were the conditions:

6 decks (1 four deck table)
    $3-$50 and $5-$100
    Dealer hits S17
    DOA
    DAS
    No surrender
    No re-splitting of As.
Check A and 10 upcards for BJ
BJ pays 2-1 for players with Player's Club card on Wednesdays between 4pm and midnight.

I estimate that the advantage for a player using BS under these conditions is around 1.65%.
  • Kynge - I afraid to ask what you have to do to get a player's card
  • Now let me see..........That would be:

    3:2 is to 2.25% reduction

    as,

2:1 is to X reduction, hmmmmm

Do they have free hotdogs also?
  • I'm from minnesota the best penetration I got from any casino is treasure island I won some there. Drop me a privatee msg maybe we can form a team to take down the house. I might have to goto wisconsin to play blackjack where they dont l et any 18 year olds play.
  • Treasure island in Vegas?
    Aren't they using MindPlay ?
  • No I dont think TI is using MindPlay. I stayed there last summer. All there games have CSM's except for the pitch games. I think the pitch games were 6:5 if I remember right? I forget. The only casino I saw last year that had Mind Play was Flamingo. I hear this year Wynn Las Vegas has Mind Play.

Are there any disadvantges to the player with Mind Play? I know Mind Play tracks all the cards and chips for each player, but does it create any disadvantages for the player? I would imagine it could pick up any patterns in a players play and help a little in distinguishing a card counter?? Fill me in on that please.
  • The counting is the main issue.

In theory, they can also shuffle up when the deck gets too good for the player but I doubt they do it in Vegas.

Personally, I believe mindplay should be illegal. Blackjack is a game of the player against the casino. We're not allowed electronics, they shouldn't be. Yes, they have cameras and stuff, but essentially, it's up to an alert pit boss and eye-in-the-sky crew. They have a numeric advantag,e but they still need to pay for the eyeballs. Add a computer program, and the playing field is no longer acceptable.
  • Mindplay is rather like CSM'S, 6:5 and the like. It begs the question:
What else is in the Q? Well, I know what the elements are (possibilities)
and they don't look for us church mice..................

    You forgot H17 everywhere...
It already looks bad in smaller markets like Missouri/Illionois.
