Atlantic City daytrip report (long and rambling)
More important, however, is that all the games are 6 decks (S17, no surrender), and at least the 5$ table seemed to have a very decent penetration: I play in AC all the time at the Taj, nowhere else. The Taj always uses 8 decks. Were you indicatin…

Trip Report
This post has to do with the ability to count a deck of cards in a specified amount of time. Supposedly the faster the better. I've seen posts where someone would say, "I counted down a deck in 23.5 seconds". Now I see a post that sa…

Backcount without looking obvious
I define "backcounting" differently. I sit down and play and after a while I "count" my chips. If I am getting hammered I go "back" to my room.

40x Table Minimum Question
I've done a lot of "soaring back up" after getting hammered at the Taj Mahal in AC. Problem is the "soaring" was in the express elevator going back to my room.

Counting vs Progressions
Someday, when my days are over I will go to the big casino in the sky. I have promised myself to get an answer to this counting/progressive debate. I will ask St. Peter for a private audience with the man himself. My question will be, "sir, I …

Now that I did my little experiment, which took about 5 hours, I ain't happy with the way I played this out. Let me repeat how I did this. I took 3 decks of cards. From one of the decks, I took a Jack and a deuce and gave them to the dealer. I …

Here are the results of my little experiment: The idea was to play 6/6 without splitting and 6/6 with splitting. All the hands were played against a dealer deuce. The dealer always had a 10 in the hole. I played a total of 267 hands in each instanc…

I have obtained a copy of Scarne's Guide To Casino Gambling. Copyright 1978. Pages 64 to 129 are devoted exclusively to Blackjack. I am going to encapsule Scarne's most provocative words. 1. In 1976 Scarne challenged Thorp, Wilson, Bra…
