Hitting Soft 18
Thanks for your replies. I now know what I did!!! I hit the soft 18 with one card and freaked out that it was less than 18 and didn't keep hitting. Glad you brought THAT to my attention. Don't know what I was thinking! Okay, from now …

Strategy Cards
They actually sell these cards in many gift shops in Vegas hotels. I've seen people with them sitting on their cigarette packs at the bj tables. I'm sure there is no problem in Vegas casinos as long as you don't hold up the game - s…

Best low roller games in Vegas
Found IP and Harrah's okay last week but you have to watch carefully to find the 3:2 payout for BJ at IP as each section (Dealertainers, Champagne Pit, Normal Tables) as all seemed to have different rules. I didn't like the cards dealt d…

I am playing BJ tonight for the first time at a casino.
Is it okay to put it in the circle beside your other bet before it is your turn? I have a habit of putting my double down chips just to the left outside of the circle immediately after the deal since I know what I want to do to at that point - not …

Vegas Trip Report -- Most Games NOT Worth Playing
Although not in Vegas, here is the feeblest Surrender rule I have copied and pasted right from our B.C. Lottery Corp. website that governs all casinos in British Columbia! I agree with you it is just so much work trying to find decent tables in Veg…

What's With LV Dealers!
Good to know I'm not the only one who felt this way last time in LV. I sometimes wish the dealers wouldn't converse with me at all!!

What's With LV Dealers!
Since it is on my trusty laminated strategy card to hit 12 with dealers 2 or 3, should I just kind of pull it out and say...Well, I am doing the right thing?

Two Pit Critters...."But, he's not looking at the cards
Since I'm mostly vanilla basic stategy player and am too lazy (or dyslexic..ha ha) to count, sometimes I will seek a table with some serious (usually Asian) players who aren't drinking and have stacks of chips in front of them and I play m…

Departing for Vegas this tuesday for three weeks!
Always fun tables with no stress is the Champagne Pit at Imperial Palace. The celebrity (dealertainers) are great and no one seems to be too serious if they win or lose. I'm sure the more serious players only play at 3-2 payouts on blackjack …

Thanks. I thought that since they were out on the table you might lose them because you have already essentially made that play even though the dealer hadn't started dealing the cards to the players. I have a terrible habit of placing my doub…

Oh, in Kamloops, BC, Canada...For this type of event no permits etc. are required as there is no cash involved...just prizes. It's a win/win situation for the bars as it really brings in a crowd...and a lot of people who just like to watch.
